Recording Your Conferences

You can record all or portions of your TelePray conferences. There is a single recording produced for each conference (multiple recorded portions are combined), which be up to 24 hours (which is the system default limit for TelePray conferences). Recordings are stored in .mp3 format, and are available for three years. (You can download them to your device for permanent storage.)

There are three ways to enable and control conference recording:

Automatic Recording Set Record Conferences to “Yes” on your Settings page. This will automatically record all your TelePray conferences.
Host Keypad Command *1 Any conference host can press *1 to turn recording on or off multiple times during a conference.
Live Conference Manager Use the Recording button in the upper-right corner of the Live Conference Manager to control the recording status.

The recording is available instantly after the conference ends. You can access the Recording Details page in History & Recordings in your Account Dashboard, where you can listen to, download, or delete the recording, and configure Dial-in Playback options for the recording.

Recording Conferences for Playback or Offline Use. Only the “active” portion of conferences are recorded. (If all parties are hold, recording does not start or is turned off.) Since at least two parties are generally required for an “active” TelePray conference, you may wish to use the Host Keypad Command *90 to enable a one-party active conference, which will enable recording without other participants in the conference. Enter your TelePray conference as a host, turn on recording (press *1), then press *90 and begin your presentation. You can press *1 again when you are finished to end the recording.

Recording Quality. The recordings are produced with the same quality supported by phone network transmission, which is significantly lower quality than you can obtain with internet-enabled streaming audio services. This is a constraint introduced by the phone network, beyond TelePray's control. There is no option for a higher-quality recording mode, because there is no option to increase the sound quality we receive from the phone network.
