Becoming a Conference Host

Conference hosts can use the Host Keypad Commands to control live conferences, starting and ending conferences, changing the Conference Mode to mute and un-mute non-hosts, enabling recording, and managing question and answer sessions. They can lead a lecture, sermon, or prayer while muting other participants.

There are three ways to be designated as a TelePray conference host:

Caller List Designation Callers can automatically be designated as host by checking the “Join as Host” box in their Caller List phone number entry. No additional action is required. Every time they call in from that phone number, they will hear the announcement, “You are a host.”
Press *3 and Host PIN You can make yourself a host by pressing *3 on your phone keypad after entering a TelePray conference. You will prompted to enter the four-digit Host PIN. You can find your Host PIN by logging into your Account Dashboard at account.telepray.com, and you can change your Host PIN any time using the Settings page.
Check Host Box in Dashboard You can designate yourself or others as hosts by checking on their corresponding Host checkbox in the Live Conference Manager. The Live Conference Manager can be accessed via the Account Dashboard at account.telepray.com or the Guest Host Dashboard at live.telepray.com. For more information on Guest Hosts, click here.

Note that the phone number you provided during TelePray registration may have been preloaded into your Caller List with the host designation. Log into your Account Dashboard and click on Caller List to verify your status.

The presence of a conference host is not necessary unless required by the Conference Start or Conference Mode settings.

There is no limit on the number of active hosts in a TelePray conference.
